Golden Glory with Gold Standards – 50th Year of Indian Prosthodontic Society

On the occasion of the Golden Jubilee of the Indian Prosthodontic Society, Delhi witnessed a conclave of distinguished prosthodontics from around the world. Dr. Puneet Kathuria addressed this galaxy of experts and delivered an immaculate speech on Biomechanics and its correlation with successful implants.

November 10th, 2022, marked the 50th year of the Indian Prosthodontic Society (IPS). A Golden Jubilee event was organised to celebrate the spirit of IPS at the Leela Ambience Convention Hotel, Shahdara, New Delhi. The 4-day conference congregated a dignified crowd of experts – prosthodontists from around the world. The conference comprised an array of activities such as discussions on scientific findings, table clinics, research paper presentations, a free screening camp to raise health awareness, accompanied by the Golden Jubilee Rally Torch Walk, and a trade exhibition.

The event was inaugurated by Mr. Rajesh Bhushan, IAS, Secretary (H&FW), GOI – Chief guest for this mega conference in the esteemed presence of ‘Guest of Honor Prof. Yogesh Singh, Vice Chancellor, Delhi University, and Dr.AbhijatSheth, President, National Board of Examinations. Dr. V Rangarajan, President of IPS, presided over the conference.

It is a matter of immense honour and pride for the whole of Dr. Kathuria’s Dentistry as our most dignified Dr. Puneet Kathuria was invited to speak as a keynote speaker at this event. In his speech, Dr. Kathuria led the entire focus on the essentiality of correct biomechanics for the success of implant practice. The conference also witnessed some of the most notable experts of the prestigious Indian Prosthodontic Society. The event commemorated each advancement made in the field of prosthodontics and how it has benefited the masses.

The recent innovative methods, such as digital and implant dentistry, have helped evolve the realm of dentistry and unravel new horizons, and the convention addressed each of them. As the society enters its 50th year, the event also highlighted the gold standards in the field of Prosthodontics and how we are transforming dentistry with digital prosthodontics. While the last two years have seen an emerging rise in online conferences, this was a fantastic opportunity for prosthodontists to connect beyond the screen.
